Family Trees:

Map of Paris during the Belle Époque ( showing not only where Proust and his family lived but also where many of his major characters resided.)

Illustrations by the author of some of the major characters in the novel. (A collection of many more of the author's illustrations can be seen by clicking here.)

Photographs by Nadar: Paul Nadar was the Annie Leibovitz of the Belle Époque and photographed not only the Proust family and their friends but also many of the society figures who inspired the author's fictional characters.

Contemporary Portraits: When Proust died in rue Hamelin, the two portraits hanging on the wall had been with him for most of his life. One was of his mother, painted when he was still a young boy waiting for that famous good night kiss and the other was of himself as a young man about to launch-out into society.
