Marcel Proust's Search for Lost Time on Twitter!

Since November 16, 2009, Marcel Proust has been rewriting all seven volumes of his great novel on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/prousttweet .

The different colors denote the different days on which the tweets were posted - averaging between 5 and 10 daily. Each tweet must be 140 characters or less (including spaces).

To promote his guide to Marcel Proust’s 7-volume novel, Marcel Proust’s Search For Lost Time, Patrick Alexander wondered how Proust might have dealt with Twitter if the technology had existed in 1910.

What began as a whimsical joke on November 16, 2009 has since become an obsession. With sometimes a dozen tweets posted each day, Twitter has proved to be a perfect vehicle to convey the ever-shifting moods and perspectives of Proust’s narrator.
